man from her past. She soon
embraces the future and her new identity as Captain Isobel, despite
initial misgivings.
Isobel revels in her acceptance by the other warriors, and tries not
to be too disturbed by some shady areas in Gwendolyn’s past. She is
impressed by the Army’s domestication of dragons, and the sophisticated
magical powers possessed by some of them.
Though “Gwendolyn” has died and Isobel has taken her place, it soon
becomes clear that someone is trying to kill her, or Victor, or both.

While Captain Isobel and Sir Victor fought their own
battles and betrayals threatening to undermine the Scaled
Fist, there was another group sponsored by the Queen of the
Elves and King Sebastian, ruler of Niadhardal. This
group known as the Nexus planned to create alliances for the
mutual benefits of all. Their intention was to combat troubles
developing from unknown forces, and enemies who seemed to be
consolidating their forces against the eastern Kingdoms, but they
are a fledgling group who needed the help of those with more
experience.
Would Akulina, a mysterious dark elf with no past, help
or hinder this fledging group? What of this unknown army said
to be operating within Niadhardal's borders?
Captain Isobel and the Scaled Fist will join up with them in
Lost Memories: Book 3 of the Red Knight Chronicles.
